What Is the Lake Park Golf Course?

Located on the shores of Lake Lewisville, the Lake Park Golf Course is a scenic haven that offers the perfect balance of exceptional gameplay and good old-fashioned fun. You can either walk in to have an impromptu day of golf or get a membership that can save hundreds of dollars every year if you play regularly.

Once you arrive, you get access to two courses: a nine-hole executive course and an eighteen-hole championship course. If you’ve never tried golf, both courses come with junior golf programs for young players between the ages of five and seventeen years that will help your kids get the basics down before they try a full course.

Types of Golf Courses

Let’s take a look at both golf courses and understand what makes them so great:

Nine-Hole Executive Course

Designed with both time-conscious golfers and beginners in mind, the nine-hole course offers an accessible and cost-effective option to help you get a feel for the game and decide whether or not it’s for you.

If you’re an experienced golfer looking for a little challenge, this par-2 course (eight par-3s of roughly 130 to 160 yards each and one 350-yard par-4) comes complete with batting cages and well-lit nighttime sessions. It will also make you work on your chipping if you miss the green.

Eighteen-Hole Championship Course

If you’re looking for more of a challenge that tests your golfing skills and keeps you on your toes, the eighteen-hole championship course is what you’re looking for.

Spanning 6,135 yards, this par-70 course offers multiple tees for each hole, allowing you to customize your playing experience to your desired level of difficulty. Not only can your young teen play it, but with high pitches and precision chipping on narrow greens, you’ll have the perfect excuse to flex your skills and impress your audience.

How to Have the Best Time

Looking to have a great time at the Lake Park Golf Course? Here’s what to do:

Become a Member

If you’re at the course three days or more out of seven, getting a membership will not only help you save big but also enable you to cash in on freebies others don’t have access to.

For instance, by getting the ARCIS Players’ Prime Club membership, you get 10% to 20% off tee times every day, unlimited range balls, access to fee-only goals, and much more. This membership costs $72.95 per month (with a twelve-month minimum), and you’ll be issued a digital card after signing up to use at check-in.

Warm Up at the Golf Practice Facility

If you’re still not sure of your pitches and chips, you can perfect your swing at one of the forty hitting stations in the practice facility that boast lush Bermuda turf and fiber-built mats. It is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM every day except Wednesday.

If you’re interested in the practice facility, it costs anywhere from $8 to $15 for forty to eighty small-, medium-, or large-sized golf balls.

Sign Up for a Nighttime Session

If the weather is burn-your-skin hot in the afternoon, why not opt for a nighttime session at the nine-hole executive course? It’s bright, well-lit, and even more challenging at night.
