DALLAS – North Dallas Moving and Storage, agent for United Van Lines – the nation’s largest moving company, recently announced it will join the Move for Hunger network, a nationwide, nonprofit organization.

North Dallas’ staff will tell customers about the program as part of their moving process. Customers can donate their unwanted, unopened non perishable food items to the North Texas Food Bank. North Dallas will box the donations during the packing process and arrange for the items to be delivered.

“We’ve been blessed with a good, growing business,” said Brandon Morris, President. “We wanted to take our community service commitment up a notch. Partnering with Move for Hunger is an easy way for us to make a big impact in the community.”

Move for Hunger is an organization that collects unwanted, non-perishable food from people relocating. Move for Hunger asks those who are relocating to donate nonperishable items that they don’t plan on taking with them. Move for Hunger then enlists the help of its nationwide network of moving partners to collect the donations.
